This site is a repository for my research into various Holmes families of Ireland, Scotland and elsewhere. For over 30 years I have compiled research notes that are now in excess of 300 pages. I have created this website in an effort to make them available to other researchers.

The notes are organized by Country and County and then by local subdivision and town or townland. They include births and marriages, deed transcriptions, wills – pretty much anything I have come across is my years of research. Sources are found after each item and many contain hyperlinks to the source. [If you have find anything useful in these pages, please let me know.
