Burt. 1750. “October the 31, 1749 Theas few lins as followeth as the last Will of John Homs having cald Joseph Homs as exzakter of my worldly sobstans” I alowe my mother and my child to live in this hous that 1 now live in while she is capable to manage the affairs of said house. My son, if he live to be of age, is to have said farm and to keep my mother as long as she lives. “as for my wife I allow her to live in said house for two years and to nurse said child and to have her dayet for sowe dowing and to have the benefit of her work for said time… and I allow her 30 perches of … ground of said farm for the two years… “Joseph Homes is to pay all my debts and any residue of money is to be for my child’s use… “I allow Hugh McConnell to live about the house and to have his meat and clos as long as hees obedient to my mother”. if my child die I leave L2 to Hugh McConnell.
